We are open to horse riders, cyclists, ramblers, climbers and historians or for just people that enjoy this rural way of life whether it be work, leisure or just bringing you and your family pet for a change of scenery. Even though we are in a tranquil, rural spot there are bars, shops and places of interests nearby.
Horse Riding
We have our qwn horses to ride but you can bring your own horse. If you do bring your horse we can arrange grazing, stabling and a farrier if needed.
Hollingworth Lake
A 40 minute walk away is Hollingworth Lake where there is sailing, walks, tea rooms, The Wine Press pub and restaurant and of course the famous Mr Thomas chip shop.
Golf Club
Nearby is The Whittaker Golf Club
Whittaker Golf Club combines over 100 years of tradition with a warm welcome in beautiful surroundings overlooking the Pennines and Hollingworth Lake, Whittaker Golf Club is a mature moorland course with lush fairways and excellent greens.
